Almost 2 Weeks Old

Tomorrow Anthony will be 2 weeks old. Its been an adventure and a half. Although I have not had to get up at night a whole lot, he has still taken up a lot of my time and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. For the most part he is a great baby, recently he has started crying more but nothing like what people had warned us about and never for the hours on end people say. In the last few days he has developed thrush, Heather noticed it the other day and we were able to catch it early. He is already on meds for it and should be better in a week or so.

I am very happy for my awesome wife who has gotten up with him at night during the week. I have only had to get up a handful of times, she has been great letting me sleep more at night so I can function at work Not sure how anyone in the world does this being single, not a clue. I have been doing my best to give her some break when I get home and on the weekends.

On another note, we still have not gotten our bathroom put together as I had hoped but Jamie and John are coming over tomorrow to visit and John is going to give us a hand putting the tub and sub-floor in. We have rugs coming next week and can’t afford to postpone them again. With any luck by the end of the week we will have enough cleaned up so we will be in a good spot for the rugs. Words can’t describe how much I want the upstairs to be done so we can start moving stuff up there and have a separate room for him, not to sound like I want him to move out lol but to have his own room and so we are not as cramped in the house.
